For those unaware, BRUNO RÅBERG is an internationally renowned bass player and composer. Since coming to the US from his native Sweden in 1981, he has made 12 recordings as a leader, about 30 as a sideman, and has performed with numerous world-class artists.

Some of the distinguished musicians Råberg has performed/recorded with include Kris Davis, Terri Lyne Carrington, Walter Smith III, Jerry Bergonzi, George Garzone, Kenny Werner, Sam Rivers, Tony Malaby, Billy Pierce, Donny McCaslin, Billy Hart, Bob Moses, Mick Goodrick, Ben Monder, Bruce Barth, Jim Black, Matt Wilson, Ted Poor, Bob Mintzer, and Mike Mainieri.

Tours have taken Råberg throughout Europe, Scandinavia, USA, Japan, India, Africa, and Central America, and to jazz festivals such as Pori, Umbria, Monterey, Nancy, Bologna, Graz, Stockholm, Boston, and Cape Town. Råberg is currently leading several constellations of his own Bruno Råberg Trio and the Triloka Ensemble.

His latest album, Evolver is with his ten piece band Tenet and is out now via Orbis Music, an independent music label owned and operated by the bassist/composer Bruno Råberg himself.

1. Peripeteia
2. Mode Natakapria 4. Sunday
5. Elegy
6. Erebus
7. The Echo Suite: Echoes I; Echoes II; Echoes II; Echoes IV.

The new recording opens on the veritably shimmering Peripeteia and then brings us the late night, cinematically-hued Mode Natakapria, a languishing yearn found within Stiltje and the playful Sunday.

Along next is the sterner, yet still noticeably flightful Elegy which is backed by the flirtatious Erebus, the album rounding out on the impressive 4-piece opus The Echo Suite: Echoes I being the more programed of the quartet; Echoes II a little more waning in its demeanor; Echoes II the coquettishly impish of the set; closing on the dutifully mustered Echoes IV.
