Title - 'Devastation in the Void'
Artist - Slang
Slang is a Japanese hardcore band from Sapporo. Formed in 1988, the band have toured extensively and have turned themselves into a highly formidable, and killer live band.
With a special, and obvious relationship between Slang and NY hardcore, the band - who released this, their seventh album, Devastation In The Void on the heels of the highly-impressive Glory Outshines Doom album, have a die hard following that has allowed the band to be so successful, that they even released a live DVD from their highly-successful 2010 U.S. Tour.
Slang have played with MADBALL, Agnostic Front, and other NYHC bands who came to Sapporo, but it's the two traditions of fusing traditional Japan-core with New York hardcore, over a relentless D-Beat assault that have forged this, well, sonic boom of music that the world is listening to now en masse.
In truth, Slang's previous few albums might well have began the road to this latest effort, but as with Glory Outshines Doom, this seventh album once again goes to another level of combining all these elements to create an intense, dark, completely and totally brutal record; crashing down barriers between Punk, Metal and hardcore as if they truly had never even existed.
Featuring 11 new, and powerhaus neo-classic tracks, this superb packaging presents the recording in a deluxe digipack with a 16-page booklet of lyrics and artwork also.
