Title - '#1 To Infinity'
Artist - Mariah Carey
1998's #1's, Mariah Carey's first ever compilation, and one of her many multi-platinum sellers, featured an impressive thirteen (13) #1 singles, spanning from 1990 up until that year. 17 years on, #1 to Infinity is an updated version, featuring an incredible - and record-breaking - 18 #1 singles, plus one brand new recording.
Scoring only five (5) more chart topping singles in the years that followed #1's, makes clear that Carey has not been enjoying more of those era-defining, hit-ladden days of the '90s. Still, releasing an entire album of No. 1 singles is quite a feat, not to be underestimated, of course.
Released to coincide with the launch of her Las Vegas residency show at The Colosseum at Ceasars Palace, and celebrating 25 years since the release of her debut, #1 to Infinity, also, marks Carey's return to Sony Music, 15 years since they parted ways.
Overall, there have been other hits collections that have been worth the money, like what Mariah's #1's did, but others that could've shown more, like The Essential Mariah Carey (2012), but this one is more close to definitive for die hard fans, and newcomers to Mariah Carey's music alike.

She hasn't had the songs from her recent works like Me... I Am Mariah: The Elusive Chanteuse and the lackluster Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel had shown in poorly made records, and trying to rekindle the formula from earlier albums. But overall, if are new to Mariah's Carey's music, this would be a best bet of a good buy. While #1's To Infinity isn't the best hits collection out there, it is a good buy and a slid listen, for sure.
