Title - 'The Music of Patrick Doyle: Solo Piano'
Artist - Patrick Doyle

The legendary Patrick Doyle records his debut solo piano album performing an overview of his entire career, from his first score (HENRY V) to his most recent blockbuster (CINDERELLA) here on The Music of Patrick Doyle: Solo Piano.

Along the way his revisits his classic themes from HARRY POTTER AND THE GOBLET OF FIRE, SENSE AND SENSIBILITY, GOSFORD PARK and A LITTLE PRINCESS. A magical collection of some of the most beautiful film melodies of the last twenty years, all performed by their brilliant composer, the great Patrick Doyle, this collection is just begging for you to buy and put on repeat.

A bit more on Doyle, well, he is a Scottish film composer and a longtime collaborator of actor-director Kenneth Branagh. Aside from the movies detailed above, Doyle is also known for his work composing for films such as Eragon (2006), Rise of the Planet of the Apes and Thor (both 2011).

Indeed, Doyle has been nominated for two Academy Awards and two Golden Globe Awards, and is the recipient of the ASCAP Henry Mancini Award for "outstanding achievements and contributions to the world of film and television music".

“I have been recording the piano album over the last three years in between many other projects and I hope you enjoy listening to the melodies as much as I did reliving the lovely memories,” Doyle was recently quoted as saying. “This album is one of two planned volumes of the many film themes that I have composed over the last 25 years. The tracks on the album are not in chronological order, for as our memories are jumbled up and flit from one particular moment to the other, so does the album.”
