Warner Bros. Records have just released the Original Cast Recording for School of Rock - The Musical this December 4th, 2015. The spectacular, 20 track album, features songs from the immensely popular 2003 film of the same name, 'School of Rock,' with each track sung by the Original Cast from the Original Broadway Musical.

Three-time Grammy Award-winner Rob Cavallo, who has worked with Green Day, My Chemical Romance, Paramore, Goo Goo Dolls, Phil Collins, and Gary Clark Jr., produced the album along with Broadway guru Andrew Lloyd Webber. The album features the songs in the stage production, as well as three (3) songs from the actual film. All original songs are written by Lloyd Webber and Slater and all as as passionate, as raw, as musically-brilliant as they ever were during the confines of the actual movie, trust me.

Indeed, the Broadway show itself just opened this past Sunday, December 6th, at The Winter Garden Theatre in NYC. The official World Premiere followed four weeks of previews that have earned standing ovations at every performance. As for the show itself, musical tune wise, it also features those aforementioned songs from the 2003 hit film, as well as just 12 original songs written by Lloyd Webber and lyricist Glenn Slater. There's also a book by Julian Fellowes (Downton Abbey) and it is all directed by Laurence Connor (Les Misérables).

Believe me, once you hear these 20 tracks on this accompanying CD you will want to see the Broadway show with a passion like nothing that you've experienced ever before! Each track is a masterpiece of rock fun and, for my money, is quite easily one of the most rockin' scores that Lloyd Webber has ever written! Well, ever since 'Jesus Christ Superstar,' of course, as wow, who could beat that show for musical passion?!
