Title - 'Os Anjos Cantam'
Artist - Jorge & Mateus

For those not in the know quite yet, the duo Jorge & Mateus are one of the pioneers of the "Sertanejo Universitrio", the most popular sub-genre of Sertanejo music. Their albums and songs are always in the Top charts in Brazil and everything they put out, inclusive of this brand new album Os Anjos Cantam is a true must-have for the fans of Sertanejo Music.

The duo is composed of Goiás, Brazil-based vocalists Jorge Alves Barcelos and Mateus Pedro Liduário de Oliveira. Both are from the city of Itumbiara, in the Brazilian state of Goiás and are signed to Universal Music label.

In 2007, they released their first album produced by a record company Universal Music called Jorge & Mateus - Ao Vivo em Goiânia, a live concert with accompanying DVD. In 2009, the duo released a second album entitled O mundo é tão pequeno, again a live album and accompanying DVD and in 2010 Ao vivo e sem cortes and Aí já era.

This brand new album from the duo, Os Anjos Cantam has already been nominated for the 16th Latin Grammy Awards in the Best Sertaneja Music Album category and in their homeland, has garnered en masse of critical praise.p> 1. "Intro"

From the screeching-to-funky guitar 'Intro' opening, you know you're in for something really special here. The quite brilliant '31.12' is next and is backed by the mid tempo title track, 'Os Anjos Cantam' and then the gentle ballad 'Nocaute'. The accordion-based 'Hora, o Dia e o Lugar' is another delight to hear on this new album, and is backed by the fun flow of 'Se Disser Bye Bye', the gentle storytelling of 'Como Não Me Apaixonar', the guitar-plucking quiet flow of 'Idas e Voltas', and both 'Logo Eu' and the stunning piano ballad 'Coisas De Quem Ama'.

'Não Tem Comparação' is next and is followed by 'Calma' and 'O Que Eu Tava Falando.' The simply towering ballad 'Fica Só Um Pouco Mais' is such a great song, and one of my personal favorites of this new album. That's backed by 'Maneira Errada', the beautiful 'Vai Entender', and then the album comes to a close with the emotive 'É Amor'.
