Title - 'Shelter Me' (Reissue)
Artist - Jack Russell

For those not in the know, Jack Russell is an American rock vocalist and the founding member of the American hard rock band Great White.

Russell was with Great White from 1981-1996, then took three years off to record and release his first solo album, entitled Shelter Me, then rejoined in 1999 until the band broke up in 2001.

After touring solo under his own name briefly, he then changed the band name to "Jack Russell's Great White" and toured from 2002-2005. Around that time, Russell also released a second solo album entitled For You in 2002.

Released May 25th, 2018 via Deadline Music / Cleopatra Records, that debut solo album from Russell, Shelter Me has now been lovingly reissued.

1. 'Shelter Me'
2. 'Take My Pain'
3. 'Leave Me Lonely'
4. 'Long Way To Go'
5. 'Hey Bulldog'
6. 'You'll Love A Good Thing'
7. 'Twenty-Four/Seven'
8. 'The Fault's All Mine'
9. 'Roll With The Tide'
10. 'Faith In You'
11. 'Save Your Love'
12. 'Shine On'
13. 'When I Look Into Your Eyes'

Chock full of 13 tracks that showcase the Great White front man at his lyrical and vocal finest, musically, and with guitarists Matthew Johnson and Michael Lardie together with a rhythm section that includes bassist Tim Bogert (Jeff Beck) and drummer Myron Grombacher, the album is right in line with Great White's brand of Zeppelin-inspired blues rock.

These well-crafted songs by Russell may well lean on the mellow side of what he could powerfully bring to the mic, but the legendary fixture in '80s/'90s classic L.A. rock does not let anybody down here, trust me.

Packed with straight forward, down and dirty rock tracks, all radio-radio, especially the ballad 'Leave Me Lonely,' Shelter Me is one of the finest examples of hard rock, blues, and even folk coming together to bring forth a solid core of catchy tunes.

His gutsy cover of the Beatles' 'Hey Bulldog' is one of the stand out cuts here for my money along with the heartfelt ballad 'You'll Lose a Good Thing,' the rockin' blues vibe of 'The Fault's All Mine,' and the emotional cover of the Great White classic 'Save Your Love.'

Emblazoned with Russell's very own personal and most poignant insights into his incredible life, the new reissue also features all new artwork and an extensive booklet with complete lyrics.
