Title - 'Ch ill a nd'
Artist - Shindigs
Ch ill a nd is the brand new album from South Korean songwriter and lo-fi dream pop magician Beejay aka Shindigs.
Inspired by Beejay's experiences living in both Asia and San Diego (where he currently resides), the album is entirely self-recorded and showcases both incredible musicianship and superb songwriting.
1. 'Intro To'
2. 'SD K J'
3. 'Julian'
4. 'Don't Mind'
5. 'Healthy Snaks'
6. 'Wake Space PT. 2'
7. 'Fair Weathered Days'
8. 'Aloveplices'<
9. 'Flower Plants'
10. 'When We Can'
The album opens up with the sounds of what can only be described as a train passing throw distant fireworks sounding off ('Intro To'), before phasing into the pop-start's of the enigmatic 'SD K J.' The synth lite 'Julian' is a lovely, soothing joy to behold and that's backed by the laid back vibe of 'Don't Mind,' the trippy 'Healthy Snaks,' and then the fast-paced 'Wake Space PT. 2.'
The '60s gentle pop flow of 'Fair Weathered Days' is along next and is followed by the mid-tempo easement of 'Aloveplices.' The jaunty guitar work of 'Flower Plants' is next, before the album rounds out (all too soon, in my humble opinion) with the beautiful, ornate, sunny seaside extravaganza 'When We Can.'
