Title - 'Ain't No Storm'
Artist - Tony Lucca

For those not in the know, the Detroit-born and now Nashville-based singer-songwriter Tony Lucca is an American singer, songwriter, producer, and actor perhaps best known for starting his career on The Mickey Mouse Club.

After the Mickey Mouse Club, Lucca went to Los Angeles, California, for a brief career as an actor, then became a full-time musician.

He is a consistent touring artist and has toured with a multitude of acts, including Maroon 5, Kelly Clarkson, *NSYNC, Marc Anthony, Josh Hoge, Sara Bareilles, Matt Duke, Tyrone Wells, and the late Chris Whitley.

He also finished in third place on the second season (2012) of the American reality television singing competition talent show, The Voice, broadcast on NBC.

Having released ten solo albums, three live albums and many EPs since 1997's So Satisfied, Lucca now brings to us his 11th studio album, the quite stunning Ain't No Storm (Off The Record Music).

1. 'Everything's Changing'
2. 'Come Around'
3. 'One Less You'

4. 'Frame By Frame'
5. 'Restless Heart'
6. 'Empty Handed Blues'
7. 'Room With A View'
8. 'Other Side Of The Clouds'

With Ain't No Storm finding Lucca embracing his musical gift of highly crafted songwriting, this brand new album - which took more than two years to bring to the fore - kicks off with 'Everything's Changing,' an Americana-vibed track of the highest order.

Next up is the acoustic and electric guitar balance of 'Come Around,' which in turn is seamlessly backed by both the atmospheric, stirring 'One Less You' and the youthful flashback within the storytelling of 'Frame By Frame.'

"This is about as honest an album as I could ever make," Lucca admits. "There were very few takes of each song even recorded. Most of the vocals were recorded right along with the acoustic guitar. There was minimal editing and very few overdubs."

That sentiment shines through track after track, especially on my own personal favorite, the soaringly alive 'Restless Heart.' Up next is the raw vocal and sparse instrumentation found on 'Empty Handed Blues' which is followed by mid-tempo hipsway delight 'Room With A View.'

The album then rounds out with those Americana blues seeping through once again on the uplifting, sentiment-inspired 'Other Side Of The Clouds.'

So, asked how he would describe this new album and his sound to someone who hadn't heard it before, Lucca quickly replies, "Refreshingly familiar." Amen, my brother. Amen.
