Title - 'Re-Ignition'
Artist - TANK

For those not in the know, veteran British metal group TANK will release their new album, Re-Ignition on April 26th, 2019 via Cleopatra Records.

TANK were formed in 1980 by Algy Ward, a former member of The Damned with the band being known as part of the new wave of the British heavy metal movement.

Indeed, TANK was often compared to Motörhead as both bands, trios fronted by singing bassists, played a loose, almost punk-styled metal music with often colorful lyrics.

This rip roaring new album is a tribute to the early days of TANK and features 11 classic TANK songs chosen from the first four albums; which were originally released in the early '80s: Filth Hounds Of Hades, Power Of The Hunter, This Means War and Honour And Blood.

Furthermore, and led by guitarists Mick Tucker and Cliff Evans Re-Ignition also features two very special guest appearances.

Cradle Of Filth front man Dani Filth and thrash legend Tom Angelripper of Sodom both add their own unique style and energy to this already formidable album.

1. 'Walking Barefoot Over Glass'
2. 'Power of the Hunter' (feat. Tom Angelripper)
3. 'Just Like Something from Hell'
4. '(He Fell in Love With A) Stormtrooper'
5. 'This Means War'
6. 'Shellshock' (feat. Dani Filth)
7. 'W.M.L.A.'
8. 'Honour and Blood'
9. 'Blood, Guts and Beer'
10. 'Echoes of a Distant Battle'
11. 'The War Drags Ever On'

The album bursts into life with the thunderously melodic 'Walking Barefoot Over Glass' and backs that up brilliantly with the death metal roll of 'Power of the Hunter' (feat. Tom Angelripper) and then the majestical synth prog speed rock of 'Just Like Something from Hell.'

They go back to the power guitars for both '(He Fell in Love With A) Stormtrooper' and 'This Means War' with the brilliant death metal of 'Shellshock' (feat. Dani Filth) bringing a wondrous high point to this new work of musical art.

The drum-led, foot-stompin' 'W.M.L.A.' is along next with ferociously-paced 'Honour and Blood' and then the orchestrated rock guitar frenzy of 'Blood, Guts and Beer' is brought forth.

The album then rounds out with a storming Judas Priestesque 'Echoes of a Distant Battle' and then the album comes to a close with the expansive prog rock yearnings of 'The War Drags Ever On.'

"Many of the songs from those classic albums are still present in our live set and we are constantly being asked by our fans if we would ever consider re-recording any of them," says TANK guitarist Mick Tucker.

Those original recordings are timeless and will always be there but we thought what harm can it do to give them a full metal makeover and inject new life into them. They deserve it!"
