Title - 'Live from Niles City'
Artist - Jack Barksdale

For those not in the know, Forth Worth, TX-based Americana and blues music artist Jack Barksdale has announced the upcoming release of his debut full-length album, Live From Niles City.

Inspired by folk, rock, and blues legends, Jack started performing original music at the age of nine and has already shared the stage with Ray Wylie Hubbard, Max Gomez, Will Kimbrough, and Hayes Carll.

Releasing this June 28th, 2019 via his own Jack Barksdale Music, the 12-year-old singer / songwriter / Multi-instrumentalist has brought together a collection of 12 tracks (albeit that three are simply intro's into the main songs) that feature an intimate live set recorded with over fifty fans in attendance at the iconic Niles City Sound in Fort Worth.

1. 'Niles City Blues'
2. 'Widow of the Wind'
3. 'Never To Love Me'
4. 'Until The End'
5. 'My Mother Intro'
6. 'My Mother'
7. 'Revival Song No. 2'
8. 'Somber Sundown'
9. 'White Freightliner Blues Intro'
10. 'White Freightliner Blues'
11. 'Folsom Prison Blues Intro'
12. 'Folsom Prison Blues'

Following on the heels of Jack's debut EP release last September, Revival, this full-length album features seven original songs penned by Jack along with two covers – a slide guitar version of Johnny Cash’s 'Folsom Prison Blues' and a harmonica-fueled 'White Freight Liner Blues' by Townes Van Zandt.

The album is, without a shadow of a doubt, one excellent wizened-before-his-time musical testimony to a boy who's blood bleeds blue and opens perfectly with the frenetic instrumental slide guitar beauty 'Niles City Blues.'

From there we travel seamlessly into a tale of grief found within 'Widow of the Wind' which is backed by the American folk roll of 'Never to Love Me.'

A track that showcases both how young, unblemished Jack's vocals are alongside his expertly flawless fingerpicking skills makes this a pure and unadulterated joy to behold.

The traditional country fare of the yearning found within 'My Mother' is quite powerful to behold also and that's followed by the stunning pairing of the harmonica driven companion piece to his debut EP 'Revival No. 2' and the brilliant and far reaching chords of 'Somber Sundown.'

With Jack’s inspirations including classic country artists such as Cash and Hank Williams Sr. along with Texas singer-songwriters van Zandt and Guy Clark, the album rounds out just perfectly with a couple of aforementioned covers from both Cash and van Zandt.
