Title - 'Unity'
Artist - Sonic Twist

Starting back in September 2020, Sonic Twist - Judi Silvano, Voice, and Bruce Arnold, Guitar - began the release of four compositions each month (five in November) for the CD Unity.

The much anticipated final release of the duo’s complete Unity CD was this past February 5th, 2021 (out now via Muse Eek).

In short, this project is highly bold and very refreshing with each track conveying a musical state of consciousness.

Indeed, each track features the guitar and vocals of Arnold and Silvano respectively, with the exception of 'Chrysalis,' a solo guitar track by Bruce Arnold.

On this breathtakingly expansive, and wholly enjoyable 17-track album, Unity seems to mirror the feelings and the reality that people are dealing with and searching for today on oh-so many levels.

From elation to wonder, from bursting out of refracted jagged edges to engaging in light-hearted wonderment at the “mysteries of life”, to reflective moods of acceptance and contemplation, Unity is the album to bring us all together as one.

1. 'A Ha'
2. 'Capricious'
3. 'I Saw That'
4. 'Bruce's Boogie'
5. 'Dryads'
6. 'Lacewing'
7. 'Hovercraft'
8. 'Flutterby'
9. 'HA'
10. 'Home Free'
11. 'That's What That Is'
12. 'Chrysalis'
13. 'Shaman's Plane'
14. 'Confabulation'
15. 'Frisky'
16. 'Shimmer Down'
17. 'Compression Expansion'

Embedded with a live energy, a syncopation of minds, all coming together as one for the musical cause, the album opens with the paced structure of 'A Ha' and follows that up with the soulful play of 'Capricious,' the psychedelic mysteries of the freeform, word improvisations within 'I Saw That,' the skittled 'Bruce's Boogie,' and then we get the incantations of 'Dryads,' the gentle scat of the delicate 'Lacewing' and the fluttering, shimmering ambiance of 'Hovercraft.'

Next up is the mystical 'Flutterby' which is itself backed by one of my own personal favorites, the early '80s-esque synth pop remnants that make up 'HA,' and then we get the calming 'Home Free,' the frenetically discombobulated, word association reverb of 'That's What That Is,' the ornate 'Chrysalis' and then the spiritually pulsing, guitar-backed melodies of 'Shaman's Plane.'

The album then rounds out with (what is said to be) "a disturbing foray into an alternative mental world" within 'Confabulation,' the playful piece 'Frisky,' with the album closing out on the spiraling sonics of 'Shimmer Down' and then the kaleidoscope of physical movements made by the musicians brought to musical form within 'Compression Expansion.'
