Title - Jimi Come Home [EP]
Artist - Nic Andrea & The Verdict

Nic Andrea is an LA-based American indie vocalist, songwriter and trumpet player known for his seamless blending of influences of rock, blues, jazz and other genres.

His latest project, Nic Andrea & The Verdict channels retro-rock influences of the 70s and 80s into new material. The band released its latest EP, A Night at the Wrecking Yard Pt. 1, in May of 2023 and the Jimi Come Home concept EP/film is coming November 3rd, 2023!

Nic wanted a return to the rock of his youth, played by acts like the Stones, Van Halen, Foreigner, Robert Palmer and AC/DC. As Nic explains, the idea was to return to the time that rock was fun and the music was pumping!

To pull off his vision, Nic surrounded himself with veteran session musicians who have played and recorded with legendary acts such as Deep Purple, Chicago and America. The feel is retro, as if opening up a time capsule, but the songs are new.

1. He Never Came Back (Dialogue)
2. Jimi Come Home
3. Running From The Law (Diualogue)
4. My Felony
5. Mama Messed His Head Up (Dialogue)
6. Motherless Soul
7. We Don’t Need You Any More
8. A Little Jimi in All of Us (Dialogue)
9. Epilogue for Jimi

This magnificently manicured new EP opens on the spoken word, ten second He Never Came Back which bleeds seamlessly into the hauntingly ethereal pop-rock vibe of the titular Jimi Come Home, with the fourteen second spoken word Running From The Law then leading us into the gritty rocker My Felony.

Next up is the thirteen second spoken word intro Mama Messed His Head Up which brings us the low slung blues of Motherless Soul, which is in turn backed by the Spanish guitar work found winding through the impassioned, Spaghetti Western-imbibed We Don’t Need You Any More, the album rounding out on the twelve second spoken word A Little Jimi in All of Us, before closing on the blues-jazz one minute, alt-rock the next, and even prog ambiance of Epilogue for Jimi.
