Title - Spheres
Artist - Scott Emmerman featuring Marty Zevin
This music was inspired by our love of iazz-fusion
and the influences imparted to us while
growing up in the Rogers Park neighborhood of
Chicago during the 1970s, Scott Emmerman reveals.
Born out of a lifelong friendship and honed through
years of life experience, it was animated by our
partnership with Jimmy Haslip, he continues. We hope that
listening to this music gives you as much pleasure
as we derived from the creation of it.

The album opens on the Eastern-hued, titular Spheres and the low slung Roanoke and then we get brought forth the grooved Steppin in It, the delicately layered KC Blues, and the forthright jazz-blues sound of Return to Rogers Park.
Along next is one of my own personal favorites from the album, the slow melodically rhythmical roll of Emerald Isle and the finger-snapping California Roll, and they are in turn backed by the industrialized Judgement Day, the recording rounding out on the slap bass seamed beauty Winning Time, coming to a close on the ornately languishing Yearning for Your Love.
