Title - The Best of Milli Vanilli 35th Anniversary
Artist - Milli Vanilli

The 35th anniversary of pop sensation Milli Vanilli will be celebrated with a special release that pays homage to the iconic group’s timeless hits: The Best of Milli Vanilli (35th Anniversary).

This commemorative collection promises fans a journey through tracks that defined an era, including chart-toppers like “Girl You Know It’s True”, “Blame It On the Rain”, “I’m Gonna Miss You” and “Baby Don’t Forget My Number”. These songs continue to resonate with audiences, showcasing Milli Vanilli’s enduring influence on the music landscape.

Milli Vanilli was one of the most popular music groups in the late 80s and early 90s, with over 8 million copies of their first album “All Or Nothing” sold worldwide. With their debut hit “Girl, You Know It’s True” a unique hype was created, turning the two former club dancers Rob Pilatus and Fab Morvan into pop superstars. They were acclaimed, adored and celebrated.

In 1990, the group was awarded a Grammy award for “Best New Artist”, which was later revoked after it became clear to the world that Rob Pilatus and Fab Morvan – the face of the project – never really sang in it. The group was put together by music producer Frank Farian, also behind other groups such as Boney M., La Bouche and No Mercy and used vocals from singers Brad Howell, John Davis, Jodie Rocco, Linda Rocco and Charles Shaw. The scandal made headlines worldwide, and the duo went their separate ways. The music of Milli Vanilli, however, lives on.

This wonderfully upbeat and still joyous to listen to, to groove to collection opens on the vibrantly energetic pop and lock of Girl, You Know It’s True and the smooth funky grooves on Baby Don’t Forget My Number, before we get brought froth the luscious Blame It on the Rain, the beautiful I’m Gonna Miss You, the rhythmic Keep on Running, and then we get the energetic All or Nothing, the melodic Can’t You Feel My Love and the impassioned Dream to Remember.

Along next is their cover of Ma Baker (which is, perhaps, was one of those rare occasions where a cover was far better than the original) and their version of Hush, and they are in turn backed by the measured Money, the free flowing Is It Love, the heartwarming More Than You’ll Ever Know, before the album closes out on the rhythmical Take It as It Comes, US Single versions of Girl, I’m Gonna Miss You and Girl, You Know It’s True, and then the Radio Mix of Baby Don’t Forget My Number (Radio Mix).

“The Best of Milli Vanilli (35th Anniversary)” is available to pre-order now and will be released on November 17th, 2023 on Cassette, Coloured Vinyl, Black Vinyl, CD and digital formats.
