Title - The Korgis with the Rialto Symphony Orchestra
Artist - Orchestrations

The Korgis arrived on the music scene in 1979 and their second single, “If I Had You,” hit #13 on the UK Singles Chart. The track was would eventually be covered by artists including Rod Stewart and Tracy Ullman.

However, it was the first single from their second album. Dumb Waiters, that hit the Top 5. “Everybody’s Got To Learn Sometime,” instantly became an ’80s classic, and continues to live on thanks to cover versions from artists including Zucchero with Vanessa Carlton, Beck (featured in the film Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind), Erasure, The Dream Academy, and more.

Continuing to release new music to this day, The Korgis teamed up with the Rialto Symphony Orchestra to revisit their over four decades of enduring songs and song writing.

Orchestrations presents new, orchestral versions of tracks including “Everybody’s Got To Learn Sometime,” “If I Had You,” and “All The Love In The World,” plus the South African hit “Don’t Look Back” (originally produced by Trevor Horn), “Something About The Beatles,” and five more Korgis klassics.

Now available in North and South America, Orchestrations is an exciting new way to experience the music of The Korgis.

1. Everybody’s Got To Learn Sometime
2. Something About The Beatles
3. All The Love In The World
4. Broken
5. Don’t Look Back
6. If I Had You
7. The Best Thing You Can Do Is To Love Someone
8. Hold On
9. Bringing Back The Spirit Of Love
10. This World’s For Everyone

This essentially cultured new recording opens on the warmly impassioned Everybody’s Got To Learn Sometime and the ornate crystalline Something About The Beatles and then we get the veritably shimmering All The Love In The World, the delicately hued Broken, and then comes the heartfelt Don’t Look Back.

Along next is an almost Disney-esque reworking of If I Had You and the delightfully perky The Best Thing You Can Do Is To Love Someone and they are in turn backed seamlessly by the engaging Hold On, the album rounding out on the upbeat and joyous Bringing Back The Spirit Of Love, coming to a close on the almost Christmas-hued This World’s For Everyone.
