Title - Cardiac
Artist - Aarythmers

For those unaware, CARDIAC is the Aarythmers’ second album. On this sophomore album, they divert from their more blues-centric sound into rock, pop, and Americana. A cross of timeless themes and vintage sounds, with a modern appeal.

Aarythmers is a band that showcases songwriters and musicians in New Orleans playing songs written by Guy Wall. Guy played guitar in various rock bands in the 1970s and 1980s, during which time he obtained a law degree.

He stopped playing in the late 1980s to raise his children with his wife Lisa and build his law practice. Guy is returning to the music scene as the lead singer and songwriter of the album Cardiac with a 14 song set of interesting songs that people would loosely call Americana.

The record clocks in at just under an hour and runs the gamut through several styles that seem to be born from a strong Beatles influence and moving forward into Elvis Costello and R.E.M like pop songs.

1. Thinking of Her
2. Senses (thanks JSB)
3. WTF
4. Stand
5. Find Me Again
6. Time
7. Love Forever
8. Done with Love
9. Nazareth
10. Friends
11. Better
12. I Was Wrong
13. Upside Down
14. Miss Right Now

This vibrantly bubbling album opens on the jaunty rocker Thinking of Her and the low slung, mid-tempo balladry of Senses (thanks JSB) and then we get the playful WTF, the impassioned Stand, the heartfelt plea within Find Me Again, and then we get both the gently hipsway of Time and the smoothly sculpted Love Forever.

Up next is the alt-pop-rock of Done with Love and the grittier rocker Nazareth and they are in turned backed by the free flowing Friends, the pop-tastic Better, the drum-led rocker I Was Wrong, the album rounding out on the alt-indie feel of Upside Down, closing on the rambunctious Miss Right Now.
