Title - 'THE ORBSERVER in the star house' (The End)
Artist - The Orb
The Orb are an English electronic music group known for spawning the genre of ambient house. Founded in 1988 by Alex Paterson and KLF member Jimmy Cauty, The Orb began as ambient and dub DJs in London. Its early performances were inspired by ambient and electronic artists of the 1970s and 1980s, most notably Brian Eno and Kraftwerk.
The Orb's critical and commercial success in the United Kingdom peaked in the early 1990s with the albums The Orb's Adventures Beyond The Ultraworld and U.F.Orb, the latter of which reached #1 on the British album charts in 1992.
And now we have this incredible musical collision; one that I never saw coming, in truth! THE ORBSERVER in the star house is a full collaboration with Lee Scratch Perry, one of reggae's greatest pioneers and personalities.
Indeed, THE ORBSERVER in the star house is like nothing you've ever heard before. Dr. Alex Paterson and long-time Orb member Thomas Fehlmann have put together a panoramic musical vibe that provides the stripped-down backbeats for the swee' tones of Perry to lay down his oh-so righteous declarations.
Although not for everyone, THE ORBSERVER in the star house is one truly powerful, magical drive into the heartland of The Orb - and if you're lucky, back again for dinner!
