If you were not aware of the history of this Perth, Scotland band, or even that this great band existed back in the day either, allow me to bring you up to date.

Before they began Fiction Factory, Kevin Patterson (vocals), Eddie Jordan (keyboards), Grant Taylor (trumpet) and Chic Medley (guitar) played in skinhead ska band The Rude Boys (later shortened to The RB's).

Asked by CBS to create a concert-playing band, they enlisted Graham McGregor (bass) and Mike Ogletree (drums and percussion), a former member of Simple Minds. The band's single '(Feels Like) Heaven' became a UK Top 10 hit in 1984 - also reaching the Top 10 in Germany and Switzerland.

Sadly, Fiction Factory disbanded in 1987 after the release of their second album. Although they did reform to appear at both legs of the 2011 Rewind Festival - a celebration of 80's music.

This Expanded Special Edition of 'Throw the Warped Wheel Out' contains ten tracks from the original album plus nine essential bonus tracks! I know, right! Indeed, the bonus tracks on this release appear on CD for the first time in the UK except ‘I Who Know You’.

This is an excellent remastering of a classic 80's album. Fiction Factory should've been huge! Their music is like a cross between early Tears For Fears and Simple Minds.
