In what has since become one of the most beloved moves in music, for my money, La-La Land Records, Icon Productions and Sony Music will proudly release the forthcoming release of the incredible The Passion Of The Christ - Expanded Tenth Anniversary Limited Edition Soundtrack, as a limited edition 2-CD set.
Showcasing the fully remastered and expanded presentation of acclaimed composer John Debney's Oscar-Nominated score to the 2004 landmark motion picture event, The Passion Of The Christ starred Jim Caviezel, Monica Bellucci and Maia Morgenstern, and was directed by Mel Gibson.
In truth, I truly wish I knew all the names of the instruments that are being played on this incredible score, because they are absolutely mesmerizing! What an amazing score to accompany an amazing movie. Never a dull moment, I find myself being moved by the overall emotion of the music. The great thing about epic scores is that they manage to stir up some feelings within you of power, pride, and faith. It manages to inspire some in many different ways. I think that's the most important thing here. You can call it mood music or just simply uplifting. For me, the best way to listen to a score like this is with a great pair of headphones and a clear mind.
Remastered from studio elements for superior sound quality, this deluxe release features more than 75 minutes of never-before-released music, including alternate cues, the inspiring trailer music, and more! The special 10th Anniversary packaging honors one of modern cinema's most notable scores with a 24-Page CD booklet containing exclusive, in-depth liner notes by film music writer Jeff Bond (featuring all-new quotes from director Mel Gibson, composer John Debney and vocalist Lisbeth Scott) that take the listener behind this unforgettable film and its glorious music.
Combining layer upon layer of sound, the music of 'The Passion Of The Christ' is not something you can just listen to. You will get completely caught up in the rise and swell of music that is occasionally accompanied by an amazing choir. Again, this is one of the best scores ever and it serves to help you relive each moment on-screen. Even those who have never seen the movie can find themselves completely enthralled with it. It carries a story of its own. (FYI - This is a limited edition of 10,000 Units.)
