La-La Land Records will be releasing the soundtrack for 'Armored.' Composer John Murphy (The Last House on the Left, Kick Ass) wrote the original score, which will be available in-stores and via their website www.lalalandrecords.com on January 19, 2010.

John Murphy is a prominent British film composer from the city of Liverpool. He began composing music for films in the 90s, working on several successful British movies like Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch. Murphy relocated to Los Angeles and has produced several prominent and diverse compositions for 28 Days Later, Miami Vice, Sunshine, 28 Weeks Later, The Last House on the Left and the upcoming film Kick Ass.

Awards for Murphy’s film music include the Silver Award (1st Prize) at Cannes, British D & AD Award, and he has been nominated for an Ivor Novello, an RTS Award, and the Brit Award for Best Soundtrack. Murphy has also composed and produced music for commercials, including campaigns for Reebok, Nike and Apple.

"I really loved doing Armored,” said Murphy. “It's not often that I get let off the leash to get all my guitars and distortion pedals out and smash it down with the director. I fondly remember [director] Nimrod [Antal] screaming at me through the noise 'Louder, Bigger.’ He was superb. Wish they were all that much fun."
