This wonderful book was signed Monday (October 15th, 2007) at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood, CA. Ms. Rowling was launching her US Open Book Tour there in front of (literally) hundreds of Los Angeles students! As only @ 1,500+ students were allowed into the auditorium last night - ALL of which if they had the book with them got it signed! - it was a very special, exclusive engagement indeed. She also read a chapter from the book and answered quite a few questions afterwards.

According to the people we thankfully had there, Ms. Rowling (who doesn't usually sign anything 'Harry Potter' wise!) must have signed @ 1,500 books that evening! So, we have two (2) of these signed-by-Rowling books now here in the office.

That said, I feel I should point out that most of the 1,500+ students went into this signing event with their own purchased copies of 'HP & The Deathly Hallows' on their person. Therein, and finding out that every single person there was to be given a copy of the book also, some chose to have just the hologramed copy signed (a copy given to each and every student there that night), whilst others chose to have both signed ... of which yes, they were allowed! I would imagine that most all the hologramed (handed out) signed copies were kept leaving the personally purchased ones (such as the two that we were lucky enough to garner from someone within the event) to be distributed for random sale thereafter.
