Dramatizing one of the most monstrous crimes in world history, the systematic slaughter of six million Jews by the Nazis, the 1978 miniseries 'HOLOCAUST' features an intimate portrait of the tragedies and triumphs of the Weiss Family. Heightening the drama, their story is told in counterpoint to another fictional family, that of Erik Dorf, a Nazi aide to Germany’s infamous Reinhard Heydrich.

Beautifully filmed on location in Berlin and Vienna, the story dramatically spans the dark and eventful decade from 1935 to 1945, and showcases the talents of a brilliant cast including Hollywood legends Meryl Streep, James Woods and Michael Moriarty, the important and influential miniseries garnered eight Emmy® Awards, including recognition as Outstanding Limited Series.
