Title - '20/20'
Artist - The Walk-A-Bout

For those not in the know, Aussie-American acoustically driven rock ‘n’ roll quintet The Walk-A-Bout hail from the artistic East End of Long Island, New York.

On the back of their well-received 2018 release, Things Are Looking Up, The Walk-A-Bout (Darren “Sully” Sullivan, Kevin Anderson, Drew Bertran, and Dave Christian), and who are also joined here by bass player Keenan Zach for the writing and recording, will soon be releasing their brand new album, 20/20 come June 5th, 2020.

Featuring ten wondrous new tracks that lovingly embrace such different musical styles as funk, rock, world, latin, folk, prog and even a dash of psychedelia, whilst maintaining a pop sensibility within each song structure, the album was produced by Andrew Michael Bertrand and mastered by Roger Lian.

1. 'Victory Parade'
2. 'Date Nut Porridge'
3. 'Tale Of The Vibe Rider'
4. 'Timeless'
5. 'I Am'
6. 'Get Me To The Station'
7. 'Dark Roads'
8. 'Hero'
9. 'Trash Talkin'
10. 'Taking It West'

This visceral, emotional, fun, and socially conscious new collection kicks things off nicely with the first single released, the mid-tempo, guitar funk of 'Victory Parade,' and backs that up with en masse of multi-genre cavorts, all seamlessly enriched with a manifold of musical styles.

As noted, the lyrical subject matter is just as varied as the musical stylings, moving from such ideas as social consciousness, introspection, love/infatuation, triumph exploratory notions, to even the lyrical sounds of the native Australian instrument the didgeridoo.

Indeed, this is a record written by the band for the people. There is quite literally something on this album for everyone.

Another extremely noteworthy factor is the sound. The album was solely on 2 inch analog tape, which gives it a strong sense of harmonic unity amongst all of the instruments.

This wonderful fidelity truly displays the strong continuity between each song, thus making for a most enjoyable listen.

In closing, this sonic journey is The Walk-A-Bout! An honest album of profound art rock and a release destined to be a classic, as they say.
