Title - Loving You
Artist - The Nelons
For those not in the know, this final album featuring The Nelons was completed shortly before the plane crash that claimed the lives of Nelons’ members Kelly Nelon Clark, Amber Nelon Kistler, Jason Clark, Amber’s husband, Nathan Kistler, and friends Melodi Hodges, Larry Haynie, and Melissa Haynie.
Of course, their family and friends are heartbroken and miss them dearly and given that The Nelons were immensely proud of this recording - produced by Jason Clark, Gordon Mote, Wayne Haun, and Bill Gaither, and featuring their friends Joseph Habedank, N.T. Martin, and the Gaither Vocal Band - on August 30th, 2024, their final album Loving You will be released.

This profoundly beautiful, heartfelt, and incredibly impassioned new album opens on the sumptuous That’s What Love Is and then we get the heavenly title track Loving You, the playful There’s a Hole In The Heart, the aching He Looked Beyond My Fault, before we are brought forth the al-embracing Moses (which features the Gaither Vocal Band and Joseph Habebank).
Along next is the joyous God Won’t and the dutiful balladry of River of Peace (Rio de Paz) with NT Martin, and they are in turn backed by the serenely beautiful Hand of an Unseen God, the luxuriantly sculpted Three Nails Instead, the recording rounding out on the elegant We’ve Always Had a Song, closing on a radio edit of There’s a Hole in the Heart.
