Title - 'Shameless' [Soundtrack]
Artist - Various

If you've ever seen the hit TV show 'Shameless' (the UK stand alone version or this American copy) the music just doesn't float on by; or even become simplistic background music. Nope, what it actually does is address each and every character and give them a musical cloak to wear every time they are on screen.

It's a bold move, but it works with incredible panache, that's for sure. The world of The Gallagher's is hardly perfect at the best of times, but their accompanying soundtrack most assurdly is.

This is actually the first ever soundtrack to the hit Showtime television series 'Shameless' and was compiled by the series music Supervisor Ann Kline. Did you know that over the first three seasons the show has used well over 750 songs?! So, deciding which to place on this one disc CD must have been fun!

1. The Luck You Got (The High Strung)
2. Survive (The Moog)
3. Loved You All Along (La Strada)
4. Black Cloud (Choo Choo La Rouge)
5. Wait For The Man (Fidlar)
6. Something For Nothing (Reverend Peyton's Big Damn Band)
7. Tomahawk (Wild Yaks)
8. Who's That Dude - Part One (Capital City)
9. Years (JBM)
10. Hangman (Chris Pureka)
11. The Usual Chords (Slow Runner)
12. Three Days On End (Blood Relative)
13. Keep It Coming (Letters)
14. Written Down (David E. Sugar)

That said, the ones chosen still act as a nurturing blanket to those it follows on the show; which I'm rather glad for. And it also now includes such indie bands as The Moog, The Wild Yaks, FidLAr, Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band, alongside more controlled tracks such as 'Years' by JBM, 'Hangman' by Chris Pureka, and the show’s theme song, 'The Luck You Got' by The High Strung.
