Title - Better Days [EP]
Artist - Tron Austin

For those unaware, singer-songwriter Tron Austin is poised to be one of the boldest new voices in rock with the release of Better Days, his new EP set for release on July 19th, 2024.

The seven tracks on Better Days offer listeners a striking talent on the rise: anthemic, poignant rock tracks anchored by hard-driving guitar grit, pulse-pounding rhythms and captivating vocal melodies and harmonies.

The EP places Tron as a crucial voice that taps into and transcends a style instantly familiar to anyone raised on rock heroes of the ‘90s and ‘00s.

“As a child I grew up in a musical family, listening to damn near every genre of music, and I gravitated toward elements of each of them,” Tron said of Better Days’ mix of sonic styles. “Rock specifically played a heavy influence on my life, with the likes of System of a Down, Nirvana, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Alice in Chains and Linkin Park.”

1. Lean on Me
2. Lost Without You
3. Face the Lies
4. Take Yourself Away
5. Silhouette
6. So Cruel
7. Eternal Mysteries

The new EP opens on the reverberating rocker Lean on Me and then brings us the veritably shimmering, low slung Lost Without You, the all-embracing Face the Lies and the impassioned Take Yourself Away.

Along next is the ethereally-imbibed Silhouette which is itself backed seamlessly by the rock balladry gossamer of So Cruel and the fluctuating Eternal Mysteries.

With a diverse musical upbringing in his native Stone Mountain, Georgia, Tron was exposed to a variety of genres and styles through his parents, singer Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas of TLC and producer Dallas Austin. Better Days is the culmination of Tron’s lifelong affection for melodic music with an edge, as well as his gift for deeply personal songwriting that is quick to connect with audiences.

Co-written and engineered with collaborator Marshall Helgesen, the songs on Better Days are snapshots into Tron’s creative and emotional worlds: introspective and occasionally mysterious, but always accessible and authentic.
