Title - How Deep is the Ocean
Artist - Yuka Mito

For those not in the know, a talented and appealing jazz singer, Yuka Mito was thought to be heard at her most creative and swinging throughout her last release, Love In The City.

But her on her follow-up. entitled How Deep is the Ocean (due out October 11th, 2024 via Nana Notes Records), the popular and gifted jazz singer performs seven tracks sure to appeal to all her fans.

Yuka Mito’s liveliness and her trio’s accompaniment are quite contagious. The skillful Japanese rhythm section consists of pianist Hiroki Morioka, bassist Iwao Masuhara, and drummer Yoshifumi Nihonmatsu.

Indeed, “How Deep is the Ocean” is a true reflection of what Yuka and the accomplished band bring to the recording studio.

1. Too Darn Hot
2. Close To You
3. Agua de Beber
4. How Deep Is The Ocean
5. How High The Moon
6. Alfie
7. Corcovado

This expertly crafted new album opens on the melodically flirtacious Too Darn Hot and the elegance of Close To You and then we get brought forth the dutifully delivered finger-snapper Agua de Beber (Water To Drink), the upright bass-led How Deep Is The Ocean, the drum-led, sparkling beauty How High The Moon, the album rounding out on the luxuriant Alfie, closing on the pure velvety gossamer of Corcovado.
