Title - 'Soft Machine' (Big Beat / Atlantic)
Artist - Teddy Bears

After a pointless intro, there are two incredibly dancy songs and you might think this is a decent eletric-poppy dance album from a group having fun with the music but no, it is not to be. Neneh Cherry comes in for a guest spot and destroys the upbeat mood of the album on the fourth track. After that, Elephant Man tries to bring it up to the style showcased before but doesn't quite succeed. Then, there's an instrumental song "Black Belt" which sounds EXACTLY like Ratatat. Up next there's a track with Iggy Pop which works neither for him or them. Ending the album, there's two more Ratatat sounding instrumental tracks and some filler. I wish that dancy stuff had come back but the instrumental songs are enough to save the album.
