Title - 'Turn It Up' (Sony Australia)
Artist - Shannon Noll

Showing a much more grittier side to him this time around, the track "Loud" (the long awaited first single) is one of Noll's great rock anthems. With the usual motivating chorus that will definitely keep your hands tightly gripping the steering wheel for fear of being off and air-pumping, 'Turn It Up' is chock full of great harmonies and strong rock/melody tunes that will keep your feet in business.

There are also some great rock ballads, and with Richie Sambora and Richard Marx co-writing tracks on the album you can definitely see the more mature influences on tracks both "Crashing Down" and "Breakdown." Nine out of the twelve tracks were co-written by Shannon Noll while he was recording in Los Angeles – so he has come a long way from his Australian Idol days!

And so with all the songs on 'Turn it Up' being cohesive and having great up-beat choruses that spark instant admiration, Noll continues blowing the socks off of people - which I get the distinct feeling he will for a long time, and many more albums to come.
