Title - 'The Diary of Patrick Xavier'
Artist - Stu Hamm

For those not in the know, the story behind this new album from Stu Hamm is rather wonderful.

As noted on his Indiegogo fundraising page for it, he began looking to raise the money to record this album, a complete and new project, due to finding a diary in a hotel in Italy on day.

The author, Patrick Xavier, had been going through many things that were completely different at the time to Hamm's own life, but at exactly the same time as what Hamm himself had been going through on his latest journey.

Furthermore, what Hamm held in his hands back then was a diary of an American who, after life-changing events, had decided to travel for 18 months to find…???...and to keep a journal of his physical, emotional and spiritual journey.

Ergo, Hamm's deeply personal and rather intriguing, and appropriately entitled new album, The Diary of Patrick Xavier is a collection of solo bass work based on his own real life experiences - and one amazing coincidence, of course, one day in that aforementioned hotel room.

Stu Hamm has been the go-to bass player for the world's great musicians. Time spent playing with Steve Vai and Joe Satriani has cemented his place among the greats and gave him the platform to display his pioneering bass techniques to adoring crowds worldwide.

This new album is going to only further endorse just what a stunning and complete bass musician he truly is and once the live shows kick in, and he showcases to the public each night the quality of his work - both old and new - I wouldn't be surprised if a major label deal is put across his table to sign soon thereafter.
