Title - 'Acres of Diamonds'
Artist - Anthony Garcia

For those not in the know, based in Austin, TX, Anthony Garcia is a songwriter, guitarist, classically trained pianist and vocalist.

Indeed his style is cinematic Americana, a genre that interweaves songwriting with expanding, quasi orchestral sections.

Furthermore, Garcia’s music mixes a range of influences: Zeppelin and Hendrix; Townes Van Zandt and Leonard Cohen; and haunting violin inspired by J.S. Bach.

On his brand new album, the soon-to-be released Acres of Diamonds (June 25th, 2020), Garcia reveals nine tracks that emote days of yesteryear, combined with dusty folk trails and lo-fi Americana blues.

1. 'Santa Rosa'
2.' Fire Song'
3. 'Apparitions'
4. 'The Wind'
5. 'Haunted Hotels'
6. 'My Hands Are My Eyes'
7. 'For Your Love'
8. 'Jane'
9. 'Acres of Diamonds'

This ingrained, emotional album opens with the impassioned, wistful and earthy 'Santa Rosa,' which is backed by both the upbeat, gently frenetic 'Fire Song' and then the low-slung guitar work of 'Apparitions' is brought forth.

Next up is the delicately precise, artful and acoustic guitar work of 'The Wind,' which in turn is followed by the imparted, heartfelt empathy of 'Haunted Hotels,' and then comes one of my own personal favorites here, the punchy guitar and drum-led, mid-tempo rocker 'My Hands Are My Eyes.'

The album then rounds out with an elegantly yearning storytelling of love within 'For Your Love,' the nostalgic feel of days gone by on 'Jane,' and then comes to a close on the tender, lo-fi, Americana title track ballad, 'Acres of Diamonds.'

Garcia plays regularly in Austin and the surrounding Texas Hill Country, and expands his route occasionally into West Texas, Dallas/Fort Worth, New Mexico and even Colorado.

He has also toured and continues to tour in Germany, France, Ireland, and most recently, Switzerland.

A four year stint in South Korea as an English teacher allowed Garcia to travel and perform in East and South East Asia as well.
