Title - [MAR 14] Songs for the Sleeping
Artist - The Grand Undoing
++ NEEDS RECODING - NOT COMPLETED - NOT READY TO GO LIVE ++
For those not in the know, swinging in to soothe our authoritarian end-of-days nightmares is Songs for the Sleeping (due out March 14th, 2026), the highly anticipated fifth album by Boston-based The Grand Undoing - a rotating collective of players anchored by founder lead vocalist, bassist, guitarist and songwriter Seth Goodman.
On their previous releases, The Grand Undoing revved up a signature sound rooted in the five P’s = power-pop, prog, psychedelia and punk. Now they’ve put it in gear with their most potent and realized release to date. It’s a wild ride, and you most definitely want to go along.
In Songs for the Sleeping, Goodman deconstructs and reconstructs his way into a sonic space that’s beyond the past, present and future with inspired arrangements, moving lyrics, and delightful surprises, all woven together with a dazzling studio sheen. It is clearly a contender for rock record of the year.
