Title - Steven Husted and Friends: Two Nights - LIVE
Artist - Steven Husted and Friends

For those unaware, Steven Husted began his musical journey at the age of six, immersing himself early in every corner of the music around him - from school ensembles and private study to performing at local gatherings.

At fifteen, he relocated from Connecticut to San Francisco, where a deep commitment to jazz took hold and shaped the direction of his artistic life. By his early twenties, Husted had established himself as one of the most in demand bassists in the Bay Area, a period that also saw him spend six years teaching at the Stanford Jazz Workshop. Throughout his career, he has shared the stage with jazz luminaries including Kenny Burrell, Billy Higgins and Vince Wallace.

His brand new digital-only album is entitled Two Nights - LIVE is out now and features: Isreal Yanez (drums), Milo Hehmsoth (keys), Grant Teeple (sax) and Matt Berger on guitar.

1. This I Dig of You [07:42]
2. Sandu [10:17]
3. Existential Changes [07:02]
4. Bop Top [10:25]
5. Against the Grain [06:37]
6. How Deep is the Ocean [07:51]
7. When We Were Young [05:59]
8. Mooncake [05:27]
9. Will I Ever See You Again [06:31]
10. Angel in the Flowers [05:10]
11. Nonagon Funkola [04:35]

This lushly sculpted new live recording opens on the flourishing This I Dig of You and the impassioned opus Sandu and then we are brought forth the luxuriant Existential Changes, the emotive epic Bop Top, with the playfully sprightly Against the Grain along next.

We are then gifted the low slung finger-snapper How Deep is the Ocean and the beautifully sculpted When We Were Young and they are in turn backed seamlessly by the gently frenetic Mooncake, the decadent ease of Will I Ever See You Again, the set rounding out on the quietly flirtatious Angel in the Flowers, coming to a close on the immersive confidence of Nonagon Funkola.
