Touched By An Angel: I Will Walk with You, Part 2
(Roma Downey, Della Reese, John Dyke, and Valerie Bertinelli, et al / DVD / NR / (2003) 2015 / CBS - Paramount)

Overview: As Monica begins her final assignment, she hopes for a promotion to supervisor. Tess and the angels testify to her strengths as she arrives in a town filled with old friends ... and, mysteriously, no children.

DVD Verdict: In this incredible, heart-pounding episode (Season 9, Episode 22) of 'Touched By An Angel: I Will Walk with You, Part 2,' Monica tries to give the town the strength to pull together after heartbreak - even as she faces off with the ultimate adversary ... the devil, himself.

Starring Roma Downey, Della Reese, John Dyke, and Valerie Bertinelli, the show also includes guest appearances from the likes of Randy Travis, Patty Duke, Patrick Duffy, Cloris Leachman, David Ogden Stiers, and many more as the two-part TV event unfolds.

As Monica faces off with the ultimate enemy, she offers to make the greatest sacrifice of all in a stunning test of faith that will bring her face-to-face with the Father himself. 'Touched By An Angel: I Will Walk with You, Part 2' is the stunning conclusion to one of TVs most beloved and inspiring series, and wow, what a white knuckle ride it truly is.

The angelic combination of actors, Roma Downey, John Dye and the legendary Della Reese give a completeness, perhaps whole roundness to these inspiring hours. Each of them brings a special and unique warmth to their roles. The addition of Valerie Bertinelli was very welcome and has brought a wonderful character of innocence and comic relief (for the sake of a better word) at the same time.

In closing, I am very thankful for this series and for the actors, directors, producers, writers and crew who dedicated their time to bringing episodes like this to us, year after year. This is a Widescreen Presentation (1.78:1) enhanced for 16x9 TVs.
