Title - 'Ferris & The Wheels'
Artist - Ferris And The Wheels

Ferris and the Wheels have just-released their eponymous 6 song self-titled album this past October 9th, 2015. What's that now, you've not hear of them? OK, well, don't fret, many may not have, but trust me, this debut EP will have the desired effect that it seeks re: turning heads and fine tuning minds toward them.

Described as "pure rock with elements of 90's grunge, classic Floyd, and modern Foo Fighters" Geoff Ferris, lead singer and songwriter, born in Bad Axe, MI, and former lead singer of the band 'Bad Axe' (sure, why not), has previously had success in Boston and Nashville as a musician.

But here in the highly imaginatively-titled Ferris And The Wheels, which also features Jake Lentner - Guitar/Vocals; Dylan Ayers - Drums/Vocals and Josh Ayers on Bass/Vocals, his sound is a lot more refined. Sure those grungy, 90's-esque reverberating guitars are still present, still the glue that holds the works together, but from just these 6 new tracks, you can already sense a maturity to both the lyrics and the musical approach.

Ferris has even gone as far as saying, "This is the most talented and fun band I've ever been in. We're in our infancy ... we've only been playing together as a foursome since late July 2014." Infancy or not, their pop rock sound is tight, measured, and obviously road tested. My own personal favorite song out of the 6 is 'Typical,' a building pop rock smash hit, if ever there was. Again, a song that would have taken the 90's by storm, and I mean by STORM, it surfaces today as a reminder to us all that great music never dies - it just gets remodeled, revamped, and restyled by better-sounding outlets.

Ergo, Ferris And The Wheels know what they have, know how to make it work, and know that their sound is addictive enough that it sparks something good each time you hear one of their new tracks way back in that area of your mind that your thought the 00's had left abandoned by the side of the cyber highway.

Ferris And The Wheels are currently touring all over the US and, most likely, coming to a city near you! Check out their website for all those dates soon so that you don't miss them coming to your town. Trust me, that's something that you will never forgive yourself for!
