Title - 'Mighty Quinn & The Oakland Ronin'
Artist - Mighty Quinn & The Oakland Ronin

A singer and songwriter most famous for his work on the television show 'Scrubs', Mighty Quinn (aka Quinn Walker) grew up playing Rock, Funk, Soul, and Gospel.

Presently writing music and playing shows with his live Punk band, recorded live at Secret Bathroom in Oakland, CA., Mighty Quinn & The Oakland Ronin's self-titled debut album (releasing November 2nd, 2018) is definitely a breath of fresh air in today's music scene.

1. "The Nu Punks"
2. "Meet The Ronin"
3. "Kilt Kimono (Ronin Remix)"
4. "Headfirst (Ronin Remix)"
5. "BFF"
6. "Squash It"
7. "Rebel (Ronin Remix)"
8. "Town (Ronin Remix)"
9. "Love vs. Bankers (Ronin Remix)"
10. "Anxiety (Ronin Remix)"
11. "L'Oakland (Ronin Remix)"
12. "Mickey Got Married (Ronin Remix)"

With Mighty Quinn on Vocals, Geoff Saba on Guitar, BG Vocals, Drew Muhoberac on Bass,BG Vocals, and Joel Davidson on Drums, BG Vocals, the album chock full of remixes is a vibrant, raw, raucous salute to both garage punk of the mid-'80s and L.A.'s underground music scene circa early '90s.

Stand out tracks such as the passionate "Rebel," the funky hipsway of "Town," and the swashbuckling attitude of "L'Oakland" ensure that the listener is going to stay tuned throughout.

Complete with a bevy of leftist political messages about social justice mixed with classic upbeat tunes about love, loss, addiction, depression, not to mention a few pirate references, Mighty Quinn & The Oakland Ronin is an extremely good debut album.

In fact, having listened to the album twice through myself now, I'm amazed that this is their debut for it is as grounded, as honest, and as amazingly brilliant as anything Ive heard from the genre this year.
