Title - 'None but the Lonely Heart'
Artist - Daniel Lozakovich

After his triumphantly received debut album for Deutsche Grammophon devoted to J. S. Bach’s violin concertos, the young Swedish violinist Daniel Lozakovich now delves into the Russian Romantic repertoire.

Released October 18th, 2019 via Deutsche Grammophon, None but the Lonely Heart is yet another shining example of what this immensely gifted emerging artist can bring to the table.

Presenting the famous Violin Concerto and other orchestral and solo masterpieces by the great composer Tchaikovsky, Lozakovich is joined by the Russian National Philharmonic under the baton of Vladimir Spivakov.

Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky (1840 - 1893)

4 Lensky's Aria
5 None But The Lonely Heart
6 Mélodie
7 Valse Sentimentale
8 Méditation
9 Valse-Scherzo

Opening with the stirring, free flowing and airy trio of Allegro moderato, Canzonetta. Andante and Finale. Allegro vivacissimo, Lozakovich's perfect mastery for this work is immediately evident.

Indeed, as we head into the yearning duo of both 'Lensky's Aria and the title track itself, well, if you've not already settled in for the day alongside this musical work of art, you soon will have.

The truly gifted, and exceptionally talented Lozakovich continues onward throughout this masterful showcasing of two magnificent talents combining to bring a fresh, vibrate, new take on known works.

In closing, and now having come "face to face" once more with the evidence of not only Lozakovich's confidence, intensity, expertise and depth of musical maturity far beyond his years, but his willingness to explore and be taught as he progresses, it's very obvious to all that his understanding of exquisite musicality; along with a perfect and absolute knowledge of the pieces he plays, will hold him in good stead for decades to come.
