Title - 'San Fernando Blitz' [EP]
Artist - Sandy McKnight with Fernando Perdomo
For those not in the know, after last January’s release of their successful first collaboration (San Fernando Beat EP), Albany-area artist Sandy McKnight and Los Angeles’ ubiquitous multi-instrumentalist/producer Fernando Perdomo have just released their follow-up EP, the highly-anticipated San Fernando Blitz.
Featuring six (6) tracks, not one of them over 3 minutes long, the new EP expertly showcases the duo at their combined musical greatness, and trust me when I say that you will be hitting repeat on your CD players quite a few times (as it's just that darn good!)
1. 'Living On The West Side'
2. 'C’mon C’mon C’mon'
3. 'Melody Anne'
4. 'Pay It Any Mind'
5. 'Why Make Promises?'
6. 'Seven Words'
The EP opens with the lushly melodic, mid-'70s pop flow of 'Living On The West Side' and the subdued Beach Boys turn on 'C’mon C’mon C’mon,' before bringing us an acoustic/electric guitar, light drum and tambourine-imbibed 'Melody Anne.'
The dainty summer's breeze fun pop flow of 'Pay It Any Mind' is a quite delicious ear worm, and that's followed by the upbeat, late '70s guitar rock of 'Why Make Promises?,' with the EP rounding out on the easygoing, poppy bounce of 'Seven Words.'
Sandy McKnight - vocals, bass
Fernando Perdomo - guitars, drums, keys
