Title - 'From The Wreckage - Part One'
Artist - Jason Charles Miller

For those unaware, Jason Charles Miller has just released a brand new album, From the Wreckage – Part One, this past March 26th, 2021.

Straddling the line between rock and country, the new album, which was released through Miller’s own Haunted Mill Music record label, puts his gritty, passion-filled style on full display throughout the seven new tracks.

Produced by Jason Charles Miller, Stewart Cararas and Matt Hyde, From the Wreckage – Part One is Miller’s fifth full-length and sixth studio release.

The album features several collaborations, including Adam Shoenfeld (Tim McGraw) playing lead guitar and “Cowboy” Eddie Long (Jamey Johnson) playing pedal steel on 'Better Late Than Never,' Duane Betts of the Allman Betts Band on 'Expiration Day,' and Katie Cole from Smashing Pumpkins on 'Day After Day' along with Eban Schletter (film composer) playing the Theremin.

1. 'Expiration Day'
2. 'Better Late Than Never'
3. 'Day After Day'
4. 'Losing My Way'
5. 'Reckless'
6. 'You’re About To'
7. 'Never Turning Back' [vocal version]

Opening on the thunderously magnificent 'Expiration Day,' which also features Duane Betts from the Allman Betts band on lead guitar, that's backed seamlessly by the best representation of who Miller thinks he is as an artist (for my money), the wailing foot-tapper 'Better Late Than Never' (featuring Adam Shoenfeld (Tim McGraw) on lead guitar and “Cowboy” Eddie Long (Jamey Johnson) on pedal steel).

Miller's cover of Badfinger's ballad 'Day After Day' is up next and featuring Katie Cole (from Smashing Pumpkins) on vocals and Eban Schletter (film composer) on Theremin, it has been quite masterfully re-envisoned, and that's backed by the late '80s, rockin' backbeat and bass line vibe of the brilliant 'Losing My Way' (and which also serves as the theme song to the podcast “What’s My Name Again?” hosted by Actor Kurt Caceras).

The pounding guitar fest of 'Reckless' is up next and really keeps the party going, and that's followed by the Americana Southern Rock revue found within 'You’re About To,' with the album coming to a close on the vocal, earthy version of 'Never Turning Back.'

Miller - widely remembered as the voice of the rock band Godhead - commented about the collaborations: “I have so many friends who happen to also be great musicians, and I love collaborating with them."

"I live in Los Angeles, so when friends from Nashville travel through on tour, I try and grab ‘em while I can and hit the record button - not to mention all the amazing musicians who live in Los Angeles."

"My long-time collaborator and friend Stewart Cararas was paramount in helping me complete both this album, and Part Two, another seven tracks that we are planning to release in summer 2021."

" And of course, I need to mention the great Matt Hyde - he produced my last full-length album, and we continue to work together when our schedules permit.”
