Title - 'KC And The Sunshine Band' (BBR Records)
Artist - KC And The Sunshine Band

KC And The Sunshine Band, as we all know by now, is an American musical group founded in 1973 in Miami, Florida. Their style has included funk, R&B, and disco and they have racked up some incredible, huge chart-topping songs such as 'That's the Way (I Like It),' '(Shake, Shake, Shake) Shake Your Booty,' 'I'm Your Boogie Man,' 'Keep It Comin' Love,' 'Get Down Tonight,' 'Give It Up,' 'Please Don't Go.'

Indeed, they actually took their name from lead vocalist Harry Wayne Casey's last name ("KC") and the "Sunshine Band" from KC's home state of Florida ('The Sunshine State')!

Now digitally remastered and expanded, this wonderful CD deluxe edition of their 1975 sophomore album has been lovingly put out by Cherry Red Records for all their fans to enjoy, once again.

This now-12 track CD kicks off with the pure disco sound of 'Let It Go (Part One),' their mega disco hit 'That's The Way (I Like It),' the funky foot stomping of 'Get Down Tonight,' the dance floor shuffle fun of 'Boogie Shoes,' and then the gentle sway of 'Ain't Nothin' Wrong' and the frantic 'I'm So Crazy ('Bout You).'

Indeed, this self-titled release, produced by Harry Wayne Casey ("KC") and Richard Finch, was a triple platinum hit in the U.S. upon its release, contains two of the band's biggest hits, and was actually released the same year KC won the American Music Award for Best R&B Artist.

The album continues on with the heavy funk of 'What Makes You Happy,' a George McCrae cover of 'I Get Lifted,' a mere two minute reprise of 'Let It Go (Part Two),' and then brings it all home with the bonus tracks: mega hit 'Get Down Tonight (Single Version),' 'That's The Way (I Like It) (Single Version),' and finally a very rare version of 'Get Down Tonight (Tom Moulton Mix).'

And with all Cherry Red CD booklets, this one is packed with many additional photos, a fully illustrated discography, along with some new sleeve notes written especially for this release.
