Title - Waiting Out The Storm
Artist - Billy Droze

For those unaware, Billy Droze is about to become a household name among lovers of bluegrass music. Remember, you read it here first!

Those working in our industry have recognized his talents for years, writing songs for The Grascals, Junior Sisk, Flatt Lonesome, Marty Raybon, and others. He has also penned songs recorded by country artists Darryl Worley, Shenandoah and Jamie ONeil.

I Know Better, one Billy wrote with Chris Myers, made it to #1 for The Grascals earlier this year on the Bluegrass Today Weekly Airplay Chart, and another, Her Memory Again, reached #5 for Flatt Lonesome.

His second single off Rural Rhythm Rec. Reached number 5 last month. Nashville knows what this 31 year old music maker can do, and the rest of the bluegrass world is fixing to find out.

Rural Rhythm Records has released a single to radio from their upcoming project with Droze, co-produced by Billy with Ronnie Bowman. At this point only three songs have been completed, but the label could not wait to get one out to the public via bluegrass radio.

Billy is not just a clever songwriter; he can sing bluegrass and country with the best of them. His voice betrays his love of both genres, instilled as a child by his father, Bob Red Droze, who was a bluegrass, country, and Gospel artist.

Red had recorded an album for Rural Rhythm back in 1962 under its original owner, Uncle Jim ONeal, and had his son onstage with him by the time he was four.

The younger Droze followed his dad when he moved to Texas from Alabama, but left for Nashville to establish his own career not long afterward.

There he has been writing and performing wherever he could, including a stint with country mega-band Shenandoah under the pseudonym Billy Ryan. John Lawless - Bluegrasstoday.com

Billys brand new album, Waiting Out The Storm was released earlier this year and has already set Bluegrass hearts and minds a fluttering as it delivers on the promise to bring refreshingly crisp, vibrantly timeless music to his fans, and importantly, to the genre.

1. Waiting Out The Storm
2. Small Town Mystery
3. Anywhere The Wind Might Blow
4. Bring On The Wind
5. Miss Me Anymore
6. Here We Are
7. Dreamers Melody
8. Night Birds
9. Woman Of My Life (featuring Red Droze)
10. Shes Still Here
11. Pretending (featuring Marija Droze)
12. How I Tell You Goodbye
13. All You Gotta Do Is Listen (featuring Sonya Isaacs)

Opening on the upbeat and brisk title track Waiting Out The Storm and the joyful melodies of Small Town Mystery, the tempo is brought down a tad for the storytelling of Anywhere The Wind Might Blow and the ballad Bring On The Wind, with the Whiskey-imbibed Miss Me Anymore along next.

Next up is the soaringly beautiful, roping the moon ballad Here We Are and that is backed by the troubadour flow of Dreamers Melody, which are followed by the gently frenetic Night Birds, and then the front porch at sunset ode Woman Of My Life (featuring his father, Red Droze).

The fiddle-tastic Shes Still Here is one of my own personal favorites and is backed by the beautiful mid-tempo ballad Pretending (featuring Marija Droze), with the album closing out on the informative How I Tell You Goodbye, and then the euphorically sung All You Gotta Do Is Listen (featuring Sonya Isaacs).
