Title - 400
Artist - Acute Inflections

For those unaware, Bob Marley took his last breath on May 11th, 1981 and so this year marks 40 years since his passing.

May 11th was also the release date of 400, Acute Inflections tribute to Bob Marley.

This brand new nineteen-track album includes jazzy versions of some of his hits (Stir It Up, Redemption Song, etc.) along with a few lesser-known gems such as Natural Mystic, High Tide Or Low Tide).

Since the same conflicts that galvanized him still exist, we all need a reminder of his healing messages of Love, Unity, and Freedom.

1. 400 Years - Interlude 1 (1:11)
2. Stir It Up (2:58)
3. No More Trouble (2:42)
4. Is This Love (4:09)
5. Natural Mystic (2:58)
6. I Shot The Sheriff (6:36)
7. All Day All Night (2:44)
8. One Love (5:35)
9. 400 Years - Interlude 2 (0:51)
10. Concrete Jungle (4:51)
11. Could You Be Loved (4:07)
12. Redemption Song (3:06)
13. Waiting In Vain (4:56)
14. Slave Driver (2:23)
15. Jamming (2:57)
16. High Tide Or Low Tide (3:46)
17. 400 Years - Interlude 3 (1:09)
18. Get Up Stand Up (3:10)
19. Exodus (4:48)

Opening on the short, but sweet 400 Years - Interlude 1 and the galvanizing Stir It Up, next up is the forthright No More Trouble, a lushly smooth Is This Love, a formidable Natural Mystic, and then we get a quite stirringly heartfelt I Shot The Sheriff, a free flowing All Day All Night and then a rather beautiful One Love.

Next up is another short, but sweet 400 Years - Interlude 2 and then a foot-tapping pairing within both Concrete Jungle and a simply divine 1. Could You Be Loved, which is in turn followed by reaching Redemption and a gently alluring Waiting In Vain, with scintillating Slave Driver along next.

Another foot-tapper comes along on the spirited Jamming and a low ebbed High Tide Or Low Tide, before this highly unique album rounds out with another quick 400 Years - Interlude 3, a vivacious Get Up Stand Up, closing on the sincerity of Exodus.

Elasea Douglas is a gifted singer, songwriter, dancer, and actress. Like many other singers, she started singing in church as a young child. For a short time as a toddler, she believed she was the reason everyone attended the services and took advantage of quiet moments like the choirs pauses to let her voice be heard.

When she was a little older, she humbled herself by singing with others in her schools glee clubs, choruses, and musicals. In her teenage years, she attended Bayside High School Academy of Music where she primarily received classical vocal training.

She also fell in love with jazz and was heavily involved in dance and theatre during her time there. Because singing was her forte, Elasea decided to double major in dance and theatre at Hunter College while continuing to do her fair share of singing with worship groups throughout the country.

Sadiki Pierre is a talented upright bass player who is uniquely capable of playing and fusing almost any style of music, including Classical, Jazz, Latin, Reggae, and R&B.

When he first started playing the upright bass, he had no interest in actually learning the instrument and instead was only looking for a way to get out of his sixth-grade class. Fortunately, he chose the right distraction from his schoolwork.

It soon became apparent that he was quite musically adept. Although his parents could not initially afford to buy him his own instrument and pay for private lessons, he was still chosen to perform with the New York State School Music Association’s All-State Orchestra in addition to performing with another prestigious student orchestra throughout Europe.

PLAYERS & INSTRUMENTS:
Elasea (eh-la-see-ya) Douglas – Vocalist
Sadiki (sa-dee-kee) Pierre – Bassist
