For those unaware, Michael O’Neill’s services as a guitarist and vocalist have been called upon at the highest levels of the music industry for over 30 years.
Starting with his first tour of the U.S. and Europe on the Crusaders “Street Life” tour to his ongoing work with George Benson and Barbra Streisand, Michael has played on hundreds of recordings,worked on dozens of World tours, recorded 5 solo CD’s, made numerous television and video appearances, provided hundreds of titles for background music sources.
On June 7th, 2024 he will release his new CD Arrival, an album that clearly showcases O’Neill at his finest. “Arrival,” says O’Neill “is a good ole recording of some of LA’s best sessions players that I have had the pleasure of recording with over the years.”

The new recording opens on the funk-laden hipsway that drives Writ Of Habeus Corpuscle and the low slung Smoke On The Water (And Beyond) and then comes the funk-grooved Cosa Buena, the rhythmic warmth that drives the aptly-titled Lazin In The Sun, and the sultry Opposing Views and the sumptuous Stepping Smoothly.
With fans of guitarist Michael O’Neill knowing him best for his more than 25-year stint with guitarist George Benson, along next is the upright-bass fed Snappy Snafu (Again), the perkily playful Yet Another Blues, the strident The Snake Charmer, then we get a funkily-grooved take on the Beatles’ Can’t Buy Me Love, the album rounding out on the lush Discovery, coming to a close on fervency that drives Angles.
