Title - Good Trouble
Artist - Matt Wilson

Celebrate the 60th Anniversary of the birth of beloved jazz drummer Matt Wilson with a vibrant new album, Good Trouble.

Among compositions by Wilson, Ornette Coleman, Gary Bartz, and John Denver, this three movement suite is dedicated to the legacy of late United States congressman John Lewis, who was a heralded activist for civil rights in America.

For this venture, Wilson has gathered together a team of stellar sonic purveyors he is also calling Good Trouble.

In short, few musicians embody the spontaneous energy of jazz like Matt Wilson. The New York-based drummer combines buoyant zeal, idiosyncratic style, infectious humor, joyous swing and an indomitable spirit of surprise!

1. Fireplace
2. Albert’s Alley
3. Be That As It May
4. RGB
5. Walk With The Wind
6. Good Trouble
7. Feet Music
8. Sunshine On My Shoulders
9. Libra
10. CommUnity Spirit
11. Answer Me My Love

The album opens on the perky Fireplace and the long strung Albert’s Alley and then we get the luxurious Be That As It May, the glorious ensemble piece RGB, and then the sweeping balladry of Walk With The Wind is brought forth.

Along next is the rambunctious title track Good Trouble and the furtively sculpted Feet Music and they are in turn backed by the sultry Sunshine On My Shoulders, and the rhythmically infectious Libra, the album rounding out on the languishing CommUnity Spirit and the soulful Answer Me My Love.
