Title - No Words Needed
Artist - Oscar Hernández & Alma Libre The New York Band

For those unaware, four time Grammy winner and celebrated legendary pianist, Oscar Hernández leader of Spanish Harlem Orchestra, releases his 4th CD with his quintet, Alma Libre.

Entitled No Words Needed, this time it was recorded in NYC with some of the most prominent and celebrated musicians of Latin Jazz. The CD is comprised of 10 original compositions/arrangements by Oscar Hernández. As always, Oscar’s compositions are fresh, original and innovative.

In short, the music as well as the performances on “No Words Needed” are exciting, brilliant and truly representative of the Latin music genre at it’s finest.

1. No Words Needed
2. Wayne’s Wonder
3. The Brave One
4. La Princesa
5. Morning Sun
6. Embrace The Moment
7. Rise Above
8. Te Deseo Amor
9. Hyp-notized
10. Jazz Pa’l Mambo

The album opens the vibrantly propellant, titular No Words Needed and then brings us the melodious Wayne’s Wonder (dedicated to the late Wayne Shorter), their diversity free-flowing within The Brave One, before we are graced with the ambient La Princesa and the all-embracing Morning Sun.

Along next is another showcase of their collective compositional skills on Embrace The Moment and the sumptuous Rise Above and they are in turn backed by the luxuriant Te Deseo Amor, the vividly-sculpted Hyp-notized, the recording closing on the Latin Jazz-infused danceability found driving Jazz Pa’l Mambo.
