Title - It’s Worth It
Artist - David Udell
For those unaware, It’s Worth It is the second solo album by Delay Tactics guitarist and keyboard player David Udell. Indeed, It’s Worth It follows Dave’s 2015’s Orchids and Elements Of Surprise, the 2022 album by progressive, instrumental synth-pop band, Delay Tactics.
It’s Worth It features Udell on electric, acoustic, nylon, and slide guitars, piano synth/keyboards, bass guitars, theremin, stylophone, flexitone, trumpet, percussion and toys!
The album also features a supporting cast, including Carl Weingarten (slide lead guitar), Walter Whitney (modular synthesizer), Mike Long (drums), in addition to a range of our fine musicians and vocalists.

The album opens on the guitar rocker Watching The Freak Parade and the mid-tempo, Beatlesesque It’s Beginning To Look Like Rain and then we get the languishing, aptly-titled Slow Song, the gently playful handclapper The Motion Song, and then the indie rocker Our River comes to the fore.
Along next is the acoustic guitar/woodwind, psych-hued ballad Solid Ground and that is in turn backed by the sheer lush elegance of Made My Peace, the building rock that drives the Is It Worth It?, the recording rounding out on the atmospherically-charged Unexplored Expanses, closing on the low slung, piano-led, psych-prog title track It’s Worth It.
