Title - Temple Of Blues: Influences & Friends
Artist - Cactus

For those unaware, one of the baddest, meanest, most unsung heroes of classic rock, Cactus, recreate their greatest moments with the help of their many admirers and acolytes here on the just-released new recording, Temple Of Blues.

Includes founding Cactus members, drummer Carmine Appice and guitarist Jim McCarty, joined by the likes of Joe Bonamassa, Ted Nugent, Billy Sheehan, Bumblefoot, Dee Snider, Pat Travers plus members of Gov’t Mule, Vanilla Fudge, Living Colour, Vixen and more!

What has already been heavily promoted far and wide is a full concept video for the first track released “Evil” that features video performances by the guests Dee Snider and Dug Pinnick as well as Appice and McCarty!

1. Parchman Farm [feat. Joe Bonamassa & Billy Sheehan] (3:06)

14. Long Tall Sally [feat. Mark Stein & Fernando Perdomo] (5:09)
15. Guiltless Glider [feat. Tim Ripper Owens] (6:12)

This massively pulsating, and yet always melodically pleasing, new recording opens on the frrenetic Parchman Farm (featuring Joe Bonamassa & Billy Sheehan) and the low slung, harmonica-driven Brother Bill (featuring Randy Jackson, Randy Pratt & Bob Daisley) and then brings us the drum-led rocker Guiltless Glider (featuring Ron Bumblefoot Thal & Phil Soussan), the rocking blues of Evil (featuring Dee Snider & Dug Pinnick), and then come the trio of the guitar fest that drives One Way...Or Another (featuring Dug Pinnick & Ted Nugent), the mid-tempo rambler Alaska (featuring Johnny A & Tony Franklin) and the aching guitar yearn of No Need To Worry (featuring Warren Haynes & Jorgen Carlsson).

With the shredding Tom Beckham, the rock-solid Matt Pavolka on bass and “six-arms” Moses Patrou on percussion, along next is the foot-tapping delights of Oleo (featuring Steve Stevens & Billy Sheehan) and the all-embracing, harmonica-driven Big Mama Boogie (featuring Pat Travers & James Caputo) and they are in turn backed seamlessly by the grooved You Can’t Judge A Book By The Cover, the flat out blues rocker Rock N’ Roll Children (featuring Britt Lightning, Vernon Reid & Rudy Sarzo), the shredding guitar rock of Let Me Swim (featuring Doug Aldrich & Marco Mendoza), the rhythmic Restrictions (featuring Ty Tabor & Phil Soussan), the set closing on a guitar-honed cover of the Beatles’ Long Tall Sally (featuring Mark Stein & Fernando Perdomo) and the pounding Guiltless Glider (featuring Tim Ripper Owens).
