For those not in the know, internationally renowned Saxophonist Eric Person continues to make a strong impression on the creative music scene. Eric’s work as a leader is stylistically diverse and intrepid. performing with a broad range of performers such as jazz masters McCoy Tyner, Dave Holland, Chico Hamilton, Houston Person, Wallace Roney, Ronald Shannon Jackson, World Saxophone Quartet et al.

This dutifully elegant new recording opens on the spirited Tyner Town and the all-embracing The Multitudes, and then we get my personal favorite, the smooth Majestic Taurean Majesty, the low slung I’ll Be Just Fine and then we are brought forth both the flighty Beauty and the finger-snapper Reach.
Along next is the aptly-titled Rhythm Edge and after a very brief (and weirdly sped up) word from their sponsor, we are next presented the languishing It’s Time Again, the perky Supersonic and the flirtatious Pendulum Swing, the album rounding out on the laid low Sunset, closing on the sumptuous Pretty Strange Love.
