Title - Let’s Fall in Love
Artist - Judy Whitmore
For those not in the know, Judy Whitmore, a true modern-day Renaissance woman, heeds the call of the stage, the sky, and beyond. Her life as a vocal artist and writer has taken off, and the sky is the limit.
The best-selling author, vocalist, theater producer and pilot, who also holds a Master’s Degree in clinical psychology, approaches all her endeavors with style and spirit. “When you walk alone to the center of the stage, it’s similar to flying,” she observes. “It’s exciting and it’s terrifying at the same time. You step up to the microphone, glance at your musical director, and it’s like hearing the guy in the control tower say ‘cleared for take-off,’ and somehow, you just soar.”
Judy was born in New York City and raised in Studio City, California. Her parents’ passion for the symphony and musical theater fueled her desire for a career in music.
And so Judy Whitmore, one of the finest interpreters and purveyors of songs from the Great American Songbook on the scene today, now brings forth her newest album, Let’s Fall in Love (due out April 25th, 2025), where she has once again teamed up with maestro Chris Walden, who arranged and produced gorgeous compilation of sings that harken back to the golden age of big band music, but updated with a contemporary sensibility.

Whitmore’s fifth studio album opens on the sweeping I’ll Take Romance and a resplendent new take on the Cole Porter original All of You and then we get an aching yearn that threads throughout the emotive Johnny Mandel track A Time for Love, the stunning 1940’s Broadway song Taking A Chance On Love, an emboldened duet with Ty Taylor (Vintage Trouble) on the always-stunning How Long Has This Been Going On, and a radiant warmth that resides within the titular Let’s Fall In Love.
Named after the legendary Judy Garland (a friend of her grandfather, who played violin in the MGM Studio Orchestra), Whitmore next brings us the sensually-enigmatic The Very Thought of You and Porter’s melodious It’s Alright with Me which are in turn backed by the all-embracing Crazy He Calls Me, the pleasantly smooth More Than You Know, the set rounding out on her lovely rendition of the George Gershwin-composed I’ve Got A Crush On You, closing on the romantic Irving Berlin track How Deep Is The Ocean.
